TypeAble Beta
Version 0.1.7-beta

Thank you for helping test TypeAble.

TypeAble is an adaptive typing practice app. It is designed to support different typing styles instead of forcing one standard method. You do not need to use traditional home-row typing unless that works well for you.

This is an early beta version, so you may see rough edges, bugs, or unfinished features.

How to start:

1. Right-click the ZIP file and choose "Extract All."
2. Open the extracted TypeAble Beta folder.
3. Double-click TypeAbleBeta.exe.

Windows may show a warning because TypeAble is an early beta app and is not code-signed yet. If you choose to continue, select "More info" and then "Run anyway."

After TypeAble opens, please follow the instructions inside the app. Part of this beta test is learning whether the app itself explains the process clearly.

Beta access code:

Your beta access code is used only when submitting test data. You do not need a code to open or use this beta version of TypeAble.

For this beta, each access code is intended for up to two test-data submissions.

You do not need to submit after every lesson. Please submit when you are done with a testing session or when you are ready to send all of your current progress.

Please do not share your code with others.

What TypeAble records:

TypeAble records typing activity only while you are typing inside TypeAble lesson boxes. It does not record typing in other programs or elsewhere on your computer.

Submitted test data may include lesson text, typed characters, timing information, mistakes, corrections, lesson results, app feedback, and optional answers you provide during submission.

Feedback and bugs:

Please use the feedback options inside TypeAble whenever possible.

If the app will not open or you cannot reach the in-app feedback screen, please use the same contact method that was used to invite you to the beta.
